Campus Virtual to offer online courses to federal employees of Contraloría General

Bogota, Colombia, July 1, 2004 -- IntraLearn Latin America Ltda. (ILLA), the Latin American subsidiary of IntraLearn Software Corporation, the leading supplier of configurable e-Learning software applications to the mid-market, announced today that IntraLearn has been selected by the Contraloría General de la República de Colombia to supply the Learning Management System (LMS) to manage online courses as part of the overall Campus Virtual initiative. The IntraLearn LMS is part of the much larger project awarded to IntraLearn partner InfoGroup of Bogotá, Colombia, and the product is being installed and supported by IntraLearn’s Venezuelan Authorized IntraLearn Reseller, NetPeople.

The Campus Virtual initiative, called “Escuela de Altos Estudios de Control Fiscal de la Contraloría General de la República de Colombia,” is initially expected to offer courses to 4,000 public employees of Colombia’s State Treasury and is expected to grow to 8,000 within three years with the addition of other federal employees and private citizens.

The Contraloría General de la República de Colombia is the official government body in charge of managing the finances for the country. The Campus Virtual will be implemented for the Colombian government by a consortium of companies led by InfoGroup.
